Obesity and heart disease have replaced the pandemics of 50 to 100 years ago. Our diet is now contributing t younger people suffering from diseases like heart attacks and kidney disease. Media and government hype are responsible for making us more aware of the dangers of these conditions.

in order to prevent these afflictions affecting them, people are trying to get healthier. Many people are adapting a spare room of their house with plastic wall panelling so that it can be used as a fitness room.

You would be surprised how much damage a 5kg free weigh can do to an internal wall when it rolls across the floor or slips out of a sweaty palm. You might see some lasting damage to your walls if you do not apply plastic wall panelling to the walls. This attaches easily to your walls and is impact resistant.

Weights
When you begin to use your gym you should choose some free weights of different heaviness because these are not going to cost you a great deal. Building up muscle and gentle cardio can boost your fitness quickly. If you want to do cardio training as well as muscle work but cannot afford a machine, then put a TV in your new gym so you can do an exercise DVD.

Machines
cardio is the best way to increase fitness so if your budget is big enough then I would suggest getting one. Some popular machines include treadmills, standstill bikes and cross trainers. There are expensive machines on the market but you can find the, for as little as you would pay for 1 year’s gym membership.
